World of Tanks FCM 50 t - 7 Kills 6,8K Damage

The FCM 50 t is a French tier 8 premium heavy tank.

Development was started in December 1945. The vehicle was conceived as an alternative for the AMX 50t and combined archaic features typical of the pre-war French tank-construction industry as well as German innovations. The vehicle was to be equipped with an additional container trailer, equipment for underwater driving, and a demountable mine clearer.

The FCM 50t is a French tier 8 premium heavy tank. It boasts preferential matchmaking that mostly sees T9 battles.

While a heavy tank in class, gun handling and size, the FCM 50t is more akin to a medium tank in terms of gun, armor and speed. This may not be to everyone's liking, and is arguably a challenging combination. It may prove particularly challenging considering how, as of 9.2 and later, the FCM gets matched against proper heavy tanks such as the IS-3 and IS-6.

Suffice to say, the FCM do not have the means to compete with these tanks in a traditional heavy tank role. Instead, you are forced to rely on mobility and an accurate gun to contribute to the battle. It would be up to the player to ensure that this mismatch in team balance is compensated by performing good in battle.

This is not news to the veteran 50t player. The FCM 'traditionally' was a tank preferred by players of above-average skill levels. In other words it was challenging but rewarding to play. Nowadays, due to changes to matchmaking, general powercreep and meta shifts, it will likely be particulary challenging except in certain circumstances. It will be up to the player to figure out a way to contribute in every match, as the tank certainly will not do so on its own.

The FCM was, alongside other PMM tanks, buffed in 1.2. This buff encompassed 25% extra horsepower, better gun depression (up to -10) and shorter reload. It's definitely a matter of personal opinion whether this corrects the abovementioned challenging role of the FCM 50t. Not all is bad, however. It's quick to get around, you will never run out of ammo, it looks really cool, and doing well leaves you with the feeling of having done particularly well. This is likely among the best tanks at pushing others uphill. It's also rather decent at using its bulk and speed to inflict damage on the enemy, unless they get a chance to track you.

Objectively, this tank may be worth it if you have the skills needed to play it, if you reckon it'll get buffed again or if the matchmaker were to change in a manner favourable to this 'reverse-heavium' hybrid.

The FCM was removed from the shop in patch 1.2, but is somewhat likely be sold again.

World of Tanks WZ-111G FT - 8 Kills 8,9K Damage

The WZ-111G FT is a Chinese tier 9 tank destroyer.

A self-propelled gun developed on the basis of the WZ-111 heavy tank in the first half of the 1960s. The development of the WZ-111 was discontinued, and all activity on the vehicle was canceled. No prototypes were built.

The WZ-111G FT leads to the WZ-113G FT.

World of Tanks Progetto M35 mod 46 - 6 Kills 7,1K Damage

The Progetto M35 mod. 46 is an Italian tier 8 premium medium tank.

Conceptualization of a draft design developed at the request of General Francesco Rossi who believed that only light vehicles weighing up to 35 tons would be effective in a new war. Such an innovative design was not approved; development was discontinued when Italy joined the Standard Tank project.

In the game, the Progetto pretty much eclipses all other T8 medium tanks, save for perhaps the T-44-100 and Lorraine 40t, giving up little to nothing compared to its older peers.

While doubtfully overpowered, the Progetto still offers a lot to players familiar with the game. The speed and flexibility allows it to still be relevant as a bottom-tier tank - a feature most are sure to appreciate.

Most are somewhat familiar with how autoloaders work in WoT - basically like a revolver that has to be emptied and refilled completely (though one does not have to fire all shells). The Progetto, along with its T8-10 tech-tree peers, instead features an autoreloader, which refills the clip as long as you do not fire, with 'refill' times becoming progessively longer for each shell fired. Needless to say, this makes the Progretto way less situational than autoloaders, while also introducing opportunistic gameplay into the mix. This requires little effort to get used to - as long as you are able to wait for a loaded gun it's a perfectly viable single-shooter.

World of Tanks Lorraine 40t - 7 Kills 7,3K Damage

The Lorraine 40 t is a French tier 8 premium medium tank.

This experimental French tank was developed during the 1940s. Two prototypes were manufactured in 1952. In addition to the oscillating turret, the vehicle featured suspension with air-core tires and pike nose armor. The design passed trials, but never entered mass production.

The Lorraine 40t is a French Tier 8 premium medium tank. Once it was a Tier 9 medium tank in the Batchat 25T line before patch 0.9.15.1, when it was replaced by the Bat.-Châtillon 25 t AP. It was returned in patch 9.17.1 as it was visible in the vehicle comparison and later released in online store. In its returned form, it has 1300 HP and carries a 4 round drum autoloader. Also comes with a unique camouflage that changes in every map you play.

World of Tanks T-50-2 - 9 Kills 4,2K Damage

The T-50-2 is a Soviet tier 6 premium light tank.

The T-50 is a light tank manufactured at the Kirov Plant in Leningrad. Development of a new light tank to replace the T-26 began in early 1940. In autumn, after studying the design of the Pz.Kpfw. III German medium tank, all technical requirements were laid out. The vehicle's design featured the commander's cupola with all-round observation, and the Commander stopped performing the functions of the Gunner and the Loader. The final requirements were developed in November 1940, and the new tank was designated T-50. At the beginning of 1941, one prototype was built at the Kirov Plant and underwent trials, but never saw service. The project was discontinued in favor of the T-50 developed at Factory No. 174.

The legend has returned. Gifted to all tankers with a 4+ years service record during the "A Well-Deserved Reward" event.
